Female Infertility

Female Infertility is defined as the inability of conceiving after trying continuously for a period of 1 year. Infertility in women is generally related to the problems in the inducement of ovulation in women. Women may have ovulation problem due to various reasons like stress, obesity etc. A lot of women begin to think that they are infertile when their periods continue for 3 or 4 months after trying to get pregnant for the first time. However, infertility is doubted in those women who do not conceive even after having unprotected sex for 1 year.

There are different causes for infertility. Many people think that women are solely responsible for infertility. However, it is not true. Problems with ovulation are one of the most common causes of Female Infertility. Blockages of the fallopian tube, endometriosis, PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) are some other causes for infertility problems in women. If we talk about the symptoms of infertility in women then the most obvious symptom is the inability of a woman to conceive after trying for a considerable period of time. Along with this, women who are infertile may suffer from the problem of irregular menstrual periods.

Over the last few years, the treatment procedures for infertile women have advanced drastically. Assisted Reproductive Technology or ART includes various procedures which are partially and wholly artificial and helps in making a woman pregnant. Fertility drugs are used and artificial insemination is done with the help of one of the procedures like Gamete Intrafallopian Transfer, IN VITRO Fertilization, egg donation etc. A large number of infertile women have also been benefited by getting an acupuncture treatment. This treatment does not offer any kind of pain. It relaxes the body. Ovulation problems can be treated effectively with acupuncture. In order to induce ovulation in women, acupuncture is done. One should get acupuncture done by an experienced professional. In various cases, controlling blood sugar level by lowering the intake of sugar and starch; also helps in the inducement of ovulation in women.
